Happy Halloween!

It's Crocodile Kenden!

Dada was the transportation and the pumpkin carrier...

Mommy and Kenden

What a great Halloween we had (aside from the nasty sinus infection and cough Kenden has)! We were invited to our neighbors, the Frohardt's, home for a Halloween party, then we set off for Trick or Treating! Kenden was so doggone excited about being a crocodile this year. He got up from his nap asking, "Is it time to be Crocodile Kenden yet mom?" Jeff took him on the actual trick or treat run up and down the street so I could stay at the house and hand out candy to the kiddies! Another night of great memories...

Pumpkin Carving!

Thursday night was pumpkin carving time, so I set up shop in the kitchen. Kenden's not at the age where he can actually do much of the carving, but he did pick the picture he wanted on his pumpkin and offered a whole lot of moral support to mom! He wanted nothing to do with the guts of the pumpkin, so I was left to do that on my own as well. Kenden settled on a spider for his pumpkin because if you look back a couple posts ago, we had a HUGE spider who made our bushes his home for a few weeks, so we both thought a spider pumpkin was appropriate!

Mom doing all the dirty work! Kenden HATES to touch nasty stuff...like pumpkin guts!

Checkin' out mom's handy work!

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY KENDEN!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Kenden! The weather was mildly uncooperative, so we ended up canceling the original location planned for the party, Taylor Farms, and decided to have Kenden's party here at the house. I waited until Wednesday to cancel, so we were scrambling a bit to figure out what we needed to do here to pull the party off. I am happy to say all went well, the kids had a ball playing with Kenden's old toys, and checking out all the new stuff he got! Dada did a great job putting together a slide show to play on our TV via Apple TV~there were pics from Kenden's birth to now and everyone was mesmerized. It was truly a great day. We are so very blessed to have such wonderful family, and our wonderful "extended" family (AKA, our friends). Kenden also received a birthday phone call from my grandmom, Gran, in Scottsville! She was so excited to hear all the commotion in the background and it was such a terrific surprise to hear her voice on the phone.

So hard to believe our "baby" is 3 now. 3 years have flown by so very fast~such a blur. I look back in my mind and remember so very vividly the day Kenden came into our lives, and how life as we knew it changed in a blink. How very blessed Jeff and I are to have him in our lives. We so look forward to many more birthdays to come! We love you Kenden!

London Bridge Baptist Preschool Fall Harvest Festival

The Fall Harvest Festival took place today at London Bridge Baptist Preschool! We had a great time, as you can see from the pictures. We took a walk, got to pick a pumpkin out to take home, got to do a hayride around the church lawn, then had a class party in the room after lunch. Jeff and I both went and had a great time! This was also Kenden's first hayride! Thankfully, the weather was sunny, but cool...a perfect fall day!

Going for a walk behind the church before picking out a pumpkin....

Time to pick a cute little pumpkin to take home!

The Hayride! Of course Mommy had to come along! This was Kenden's first hayride ever! He loved it!
