Introducing Rachel Ann Lajaunie, My Best Friend's New Daughter!

Here she is!! What a cutie-patootie! Introducing Rachel Ann Lajaunie! I updated the site the day she was born, but had a hard time downloading pics that were sent to me....so, here are some that I got today! She is wearing an outfit that I originally bought when I was pregnant with Kenden, since Jeff and I didn't know what we were having, and when Mary found out that she was having a girl, I sent the "Thank Heaven's for Little Girls" outfit to her along with a few other "girly" things I'd bought when I was prego! It is so neat to see her wearing that....Kenden wore the boy version of that same outfit home when he was born! So sweet! Congrats again you guys!

Next Stop, Grammie and Papa's House!

Whew, what a busy day! Our next stop after Nanny's house was to go see Grammie and Papa and have dinner with them! The Easter Bunny was also nice enough to make a stop at their house, too, and left a very full basket for Kenden! That little stinker the Easter Bunny HID Kenden's basket! Once he found it, there was a slew of M&Ms (Kenden's favorite), a book, Woody from Toy Story, and a very cool outdoor chair that Kenden can use this summer in the driveway when we are outside playing! We had a wonderful dinner provided by Grammie, then Kenden finally got to enjoy an Easter Bunny cupcake that Mommy made the night before! De-Lish!! He LOVED the icing, but not the cake part so much! Afterwards, Kenden took a bath upstairs, changed into PJs, and off we went for home...what a long day, but what a wonderful way to spend Easter!

Easter Day at Nanny's House

The Great Easter Egg Hunt is ON!

Kenden hunting for his eggs with Dada!

Here's another one!

C'mon Dada! There's more out there!

The first place we headed to is Nanny's house (Jeff's mom) on Sunday. We arrived around noon, ate, and then had a wonderful Easter Egg Hunt in the front yard. I threw a curve ball to the older kids this year....instead of putting money in their cards, I got each kid a large egg and stuffed it with their money and some other goodies! Then, I used the 2 extra larger eggs and put $10 in each and made them BONUS eggs...whomever found them, could have them! Well, my nephew Michael's girlfriend Emily took me very seriously and found not one, but BOTH eggs! She made $20 bucks! We had a nice time and so much fun!

Who Says the Older Kids Don't Like Easter Egg Hunts?!

Here Comes Peter Cottontail...Hoppin' Down the Bunny Trail, Hippity, Hoppity, Easter's on its Way!

The Easter Bunny Was Here!

Lookin' at what the Bunny Brought! This is great!

Some Bunny Loves Me!

Kenden got a Lightning McQueen Punching Bag from the Bunny! This will be great for using up some of that 2 year old energy...and when he feels the need to hit (as most 2 year olds do at some point), I can put the punching bag in front of him and let him have at it!

We had a ball watching Kenden go through his Easter Basket on Sunday morning! He loved all of his gifts and even told us on the way to Hopewell that he wanted "Show Dmanda (Amanda) and Bickie (Vickie) his booful new toys!" Soooo cute!

Putting Lettuce on the Lawn for the Easter Bunny!

Kenden put some lettuce on the lawn for the Easter Bunny! He was VERY excited about leaving the lettuce out for the Easter Bunny...he ran down the steps, dumped the lettuce, and took off running around the front yard, screaming! It was COLD outside...below 50 degrees...and he was running in shorts and no shoes!! YIKES!! Watching him was hilarious....

Just want to wish everyone a very "Hoppy" Easter Eve! Hope you all have a wonderful, blessed Easter with your families and friends. Love to all....

Easter Bunny Cupcakes....so cute and yummy! Kenden can't wait to eat one at Nanny's house tomorrow! He was pretty mad that he couldn't have one tonight....

Crusin' and Readin'...this is the LIFE!

Here is Kenden on the way home from Hopewell yesterday in the backseat of the car. He was watching Lady and the Tramp, reading/looking at the new Sensational Beginnings catalog (he LOVES looking the toys), kicking up his feet and relaxing! I just had to take a couple pics of him, looking so comfortable...I guess it goes without saying that the ToysRUs Big Wish book is going to be a hit this upcoming Christmas!

Hangin' at Nanny's House...

Kenden, Daddy and I got to hang out and visit for a while on Saturday before coming back home...Kenden had a great time playing with the toys at Nanny's house and Amanda and Vickie even came to visit for a bit!

"Hey Mommy, dis is da way Nanny sits in her chair!"

Playing Matchbox Cars with Nanny and Amanda!

Kenden, She is Cute, but her name is SHELBY....

Okay, so a little background for those of you who don't know, but the girlfriend Jeff had before we started dating was named Shelby, and she was a hot mess...a nightmare....or as a friend who knew this girlfriend told me, "nasty"....so when we were at the Walker's Gym Benchpress Meet this past Saturday and Kenden started playing with this cutie-patootie little girl, of course I was talking to her mother and said, "What is her name? She is so cute!" Her name is Shelby. Great. Just what Jeff and I need, another Turner man attracted to a Shelby! HAHAHAHA!! Just kidding...she really was precious and he had a great time playing with her. He shared his matchbox cars with her and chased her all over the place. Jeff and I had a great time joking about Kenden and "Shelby"! I guess Kenden can be attracted to at least ONE Shelby...the Mustang in our garage....

Katchup, YUM-O!! And MESS-O....

Kenden is just getting into chicken nuggets and he loves having "dip", AKA katchup, to eat his nuggets with...then he likes to eat just the katchup. I guess he gets that from me, because I could honestly put it on almost anything. So, Jeff and I got him all set up for dinner with his fries and nuggets, and since Jeff was in the room with him, I walked out for a minute to do something, then I hear, "You need to come back in here to see your son". This is what I saw when I walked back in....

Thank goodness for soap....and washcloths....and bath time....

Or Maybe Instead of an Artist, I will work for AVA!

AVA, or Audio Video Architects is the business that Jeff and my dad started about 2 years ago. They install just about any kind of audio video device you can think of....and Kenden is always fascinated with all the tools, cords, and other miscellaneous technological equipment that comes in and out of this house. Today Jason came to program our remote control, and Kenden was right in there with Jason....maybe if the artist thing doesn't work out, he can fall back on the stuff he learns from seeing all this AV equipment being installed!!

Jason, can I help out? What do you need me to do? What is that you are working on? Am I in the way?

PLEEEEAAAASSSEEEE can I help Jason? I will smile really cute at you!

The Budding Artist...Just Like Grammie!

Grammie and Papa gave Kenden and easel and some neat CARS easel-sized coloring sheets for Christmas, and today is the first time we really used the easel the "real way" that the easel should be used...instead of a hiding place! We had a great time coloring 2 pics and we even hung them up. Kenden is so proud of his work. When our friend Jason came by tonight, he had to tell Jason about the pictures he colored hanging on the wall. Maybe I have a little artist on my hands, much to the delight of his Grammie, who was an art teacher before she had me!

Somethin' STINKS!

Jeff went out of town for the week on business, and lo and behold, his car had a nail in one of the tires and needed patching bad....timing is everything. So I had to take the car up to Kramer Tires, and walk home (2 miles)...and yes, I had to do it again to pick the car up. I loaded up the jogging stroller, and off we went. On the walk home, the wind was blowing "just right" as we walked by the horse farm...here's our conversation...

Kenden: Mommy! Sometin' tinks!
Mommy: I know. It is horse poop.
Kenden: I don't like dat!
Mommy: Well, I am sorry....but it does stink!
Kenden: I don't like it in my nose! Get it out!
Mommy: It will be gone in a minute. It stinks because the wind is blowing.

He made sure to remind me on the return trip to get the car that horse poop stinks and he does not like it.

A Day with Mom and Dad at Kangaroo Jac's!

Jeff and I decided to take Kenden to Kangaroo Jac's this morning. It is a "bounce house" full of those inflatable, blow-up bouncy things that we all loved when we were kids! Jeff took him to the same place about a year ago for a birthday party and we thought that now that he's almost a year older, he'd really enjoy it. Well, we were right! Jeff had to do all the inflatables with him (the ones he couldn't do himself) because I didn't know I'd need socks, so I didn't have any because I didn't wear them...oh well...I got to be the photographer! We had such a great time and Kenden had a ball...he is still napping now! Enjoy the pics!

Look Mom, Head First!

This is so much FUN!
