Happy St. Patrick's Day and Kenden's First Trip to the Dentist!

Luck O' the Irish to ya and Happy St. Patrick's Day! Go ahead, do what the kid's headband says...Kiss him, he's Irish!!





Here are pics from Kenden's first trip to the dentist...on St. Patrick's Day no less! He had no cavities, and did wonderful. He was definitely very wary and skeptical. He clammed up like nothing I've ever seen him do...avoiding eye contact, not saying a word, and really, he looked near tears. He was given sunglasses to wear so that the light they use wouldn't hurt his eyes, but he was not having it. He got his teeth counted and cleaned, and also got a flouride treatment. No tears, no gagging! At the end, he even got to pick out a new toothbrush, a sticker (Transformer one of course!) and a toy!

Bakin' Brownies with Grammie!

On Sunday, Grammie and Kenden baked a batch of brownies together. Kenden had been eye-balling the box of brownie mix ever since Friday when we arrived at their house. Kenden even got to crack eggs for the first time! They had so much fun!

Carrie's Baby Shower, Round Two!

The cake says it all! Congrats to Carrie and Chase (and Tim, too)! On March 14th, mom and I threw a shower for Carrie at mom's house. Most of the guests at this shower were either neighbors or friends who've known Tim since he was a little boy, or my and Tim's side of the family, with the exception of Carrie's sisters, who were a wonderful help to me! As you can see, a great time was had by all. We played 2 games, had wonderful food and fellowship, and the cake made by Patti Allen was out of this world (as always)! Carrie has all the gear now...we just need a baby! C'mon Chase!

Carrie's First Baby Shower!

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival Kenden's cousin, Chase Luke! Today started the first of 4 showers for Carrie. This one was thrown by her sisters, Dawn and Laurie, and they did a fantastic job. Carrie received a ton of wonderful things and she's told me that she's already organized and put everything away! Ready for round 2 on March 14th!

A Playdate With Friends!

What a fantastic day! We took advantage of a few great situations...Jeff was out of town, so I thought it would be a SUPER day for a bunch of moms and kids to take over the house; #2 my good friend Theresa was in town with her 2 great kids, Gabe and Wesley; and #3 we had some BEAUTIFUL weather here in good ole' VB!! I invited Kelly and Blake, Sandra and Kayla, and Theresa and her kiddos over for a morning playdate! We had sooo much fun! The kids started off the morning inside, but we quickly moved outdoors because it was just to nice to pass up! As you can see, we had a ball....it made us really look forward to spring, that is for sure!
