Our trip to Hopewell

Sorry it has been a couple days since I have posted. I will have to add pics to this post later, as I have not downloaded them onto the computer yet! Kenden and I had a great trip to Hopewell to visit relatives while daddy had business in Charlotte. We stayed with Grammie and Papa, but visited Nanny all three days! It was great to hang out and see everyone. Kenden even got to see "Patti-Cake" (aka Patti Allen) who works with my parents, he saw his aunt Vickie, uncle Bart, cousins Michael and Amanda, then on Sunday, he saw his uncle Scott, and cousins Kristen and Brandon. He had a great time with all. We left on Saturday and headed for the Norfolk Airport to get daddy, who had to travel through a terrible storm. Needless to say, we are glad to all be back safe, sound and in one piece! Our next trip to Hopewell will be next week, when we'll get to see Mary, Michael and Casey Lajaunie from TX, and Hilary, Colin, and Chad Warthan, who they are staying with...Mary, Hilary and I all grew up together, so we are looking forward to the 3 boys playing together and getting some updated pics of them!

Thank God for My Gym!

Today is My Gym Camp day for Kenden! My Gym is the kiddie gym he goes to a few times a week and he loves it! Today is the day where I drop him off for 2 hours and go on my way! He has fun, and I get stuff done. He was asking this morning "mama, my gym peese!?" So funny! With that being said, I better get off this computer and start packing. We are going to Hopewell to visit family (Kenden and I) from Thurs-Sat while daddy is in Charlotte on a business meeting. Nanny, Grammie and Papa have all been missing KBT and need some quality time with him!

CHATTERBOX!

Oh my gosh, my son can TALK!! Can't imagine where he gets that from though???!! The entire ride home from the gym it was, "mama?" "Yes Kenden?" "Baba??" "No Kenden, you drank all your drink. Your cup is empty"....Imagine this conversation, over and over and over and over....I thought I was going to run off the road! Once he realized he was not going to get his sippy cup (aka "baba"), he proceeded to chatter VERY LOUDLY...some words i could understand, others, who knows. He was not happy w/ me....if Kenden isn't happy, ain't nobody happy, mainly, his mother...hahaha!

Okay, so I know this blog is a little out of order, but I wanted to include pics of Mary, Casey, and Michael's visit to Good Ole' Va. Beach! They came all the way from Deep in the Heart of Texas to spend the week in Nags Head, but came a day early to spend some time with little ole' us! It was so great to see each other again...in Mary's words, like we've never been apart a day...it is true...we still get super goofy! Anyway, Kenden was just a few days shy of 20 months and Michael was just hitting 16 months, and they had so much fun together, even if it was a short time. Of course we busted out the camera to get some silly pics of Kenden and Michael in the crib together! I think Kenden thought his space was invaded at first, but then they got crazy together! We always enjoy getting to see them and are looking forward to Mary, Casey, and Michael's visit again in August! They will be staying with our other best friend, Hilary, and I will be travelling with Kenden to Hopewell! Look for yet more pics!

Here are some recent pics of Kenden. Jeff and I are just starting to learn to use this MAC, so I haven't downloaded a lot of new ones yet. I will add some more this week once he truly turns 21 months old! The first few are of him at his cousin Kristen's High School graduation, then there are some of him at the beach and at home on 4th of July.

Monday...

You know how Mondays can be....but this Monday was wonderful! Kenden and I walked for a long time...took the bike path (as Kenden calls it the "bupy trail") and the weather is gorgeous! Then we stopped at the park, played for a bit, came on home and played with Gabe, his buddy across the street. KBT is growing up so fast now! Everyone is floored at how well he talks and how tall he is. He will be 21 months old this week! YIKES!
